  • The NCC teaches 'ekta' and 'anushasan' as the core values. You will need to rely back on these values no matter where you go in life. Besides, there is no better platform to learn to be a leader at that young age and challenge yourself physically at the same time.
  • It gives you an early experience of how it is like to be with people your age outside of your vicinity, state through camps and therefore takes you out of your comfort zone to teach you self-reliance.
  • It gives you a first hand opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the Indian armed forces, air or naval force depending upon your batallion. That opportunity is something a student can only dream of.
  • Now coming to the value of the paper you earn as a proof that you've been a part of this organisation,
The certificates you earn as a SD (Senior Division) Cadet in college prove to be a massive help whilst getting into the NDA as well as into government related jobs.
  • NCC provides two certificates 'B' & 'C' certificate at college level. Mainly 'C' certificate is most important to be eligible for any job (whether govt or corporate) or for any further PG courses. 'C' certificate holders with grade A& also B get direct entry by NCC special entry. That means you do not need to clear any pre-exams. You are directly eligible for SSB interview.
  • Also C certificate in NCC helps you getting many state and central govt. jobs and corporate jobs that give NCC as a priority, universities hold reserved seats for ‘C’ certificate holders. Moreover it becomes a plus point wherever you go, whatever you apply for if you had been in NCC.
