Societies @ SPM
The societies have made remarkable contributions in expanding the horizons of students and in renewing and consolidating their interest and commitment towards their respective subjects. The various societies of the college provide a platform for creative thinking to its members. These societies are active throughout the year and organize competitions, seminars, conferences and workshops at college/inter-college levels relevant to their specific disciplines which serve to deepen the students understanding of their curriculum. All these societies facilitate in stimulating innovative ideas and organisational skills in students.
Debating Society
The Literary and Debating Society of our College - Rhetoric, provides the perfect arena for students to hone their debating skills,by nurturing their arguments in a structured,and informed manner. The aim of the society is to ensure a healthy exchange of arguments by guiding their questions, and their public speaking skills. The society constantly encourages students to function as a unison to its own,by selecting a student organizing committee comprising of a President and a Vice-President, for each academic year. The members of the society participate in various intra and inter college competitions through out the year, which helps them to understand the nuances of language and finesse along with conditioning their public-speaking skills.

Eco-Club Society
Eco club is a very active society of our college and has been established by Department of Environment ,Govt of NCT of Delhi. The Eco Club stands by its commitment to create awareness about environment issues and encourage students to adopt Recycle, Reuse and Reduce principles. A range of activities are organized like Plantation drive, Street plays, Poster making , Debates, Paper Presentations, Visit to Bio Diversity Parks , Documentary Screening etc to generate interest among youth about Environment Conservation. Workshops/lectures are also organized for Environment Education and Awareness .Our college has a Paper Recycling machine and paper made by recycling waste paper has been used to make Folders, Invitation cards for Annual Day, Sports Day and Seminars. Thirkan- Dance Society
Dance Society offers members a full weekly time-table of professionally-led dance classes for all interests and abilities. The society holds a massive annual dance show, additional to smaller performances and competition opportunities.

VOGUISH-Fashion Society
The fashion society of the college participates in various inter college competitions.

Artistry-Creative Society
The students of this society of the college participates in various inter college competitions. It enhances the creative skills of the sudents.
Navrang-Drama Society
The drama society of the college plays an important role in the all round development of students.Though plays were staged since 1970 in the college,the society as Navarang was recognized around eleven years ago.Between 2006 and 2011, the society organized month long workshop with the help of National School of Drama, Sahitya Kala Parishadand the Cultural Council of Delhi University that resulted in full fledged staging of many well-known plays. Plays like‘Andher Nagari urf Bharat Durdasha’,‘Panchalait’,‘Fitarti Chor’,‘Jitole’,‘Muaawaje’,‘Jin Lahore nai dekhya sojamyanai’ gave new recognition to students. Most of these plays were enacted at Sri Ram Centre,Mandi House,besides College Auditorium.In October,2015, a lecture by Prof. Ankuron ‘Rangmanch ki Duniya’ during a two-day workshop, a presentation by ‘Asmita’,a theater group of Mr. Arvind Gaur,and enactment of ‘A Woman Alone’ a re atestimony to the activeness of Navarang. This year,Navarang team participated in street plays competitions conducted by various colleges and secured first prize in the inter-college competition held at Satyavati College(Evening).
FASCINATING FLASHES-Photography Club
It generates the interest of photography in the students.
TARASH-Personality Development Society
It improves the overall personality of the students.

Besides these societies, the college has several committees and cells working together for students' welfare.
General Knowledge Committee
Any educational institution deserves a space to satiate the knowledgeable queries of students, in a fun, interactive, and constructive manner; and General Knowledge Committee strives to maintain such a space in college. The aim of the Committee is to create awareness among students regarding current issues, politics, and contemporary socio-cultural aspects of our society along with an understanding of History, Geography, and Sociology. All throughout the academic year Committee conducts various competitions and interactive sessions with students. The General Knowledge Committee successfully organized “General Knowledge Competition-2016” on 1st February 2016,the competition received participation from various disciplines of the college, resulting in a fun-filled and an informative session for everyone..
North-East Cell

Our College has a ‘North East Cell’. A Nodal Officer is appointed as in-charge of the cell.The cell gives necessary counseling to students from Northeast India and also works to sensitize all the students of the college to be appreciative of multilingual and multicultural aspect of our country. The Cell, in other words, promotes diversity and plurality of Northeast Indian culture to celebrate multiculturalism, diversity and inclusiveness.
Chetna-Equal Opportunity Cell
The equal opportunity cell of the college is a great source of inspiration for the differently abled. The college provides infrastructure facilities like ramp, tactile pathways, elevators and special toilets. Chetna conducts a variety of activities that aims to sensitize the general student body about the challenges that its members face. The college provides hundred percent fee waivers to the differently abled. Special counseling is done during admissions to facilitate their entry into the college. The college provides sophisticated aids and equipment’s like ANGEL recording system and LEX screening machine that enables the differently abled to function with greater ease. Constant efforts are made to introduce new aids in the college so as to serve the interest of the differently abled better. Cultural events like ‘Kavi Sammelan’ are held which bring to light the multifaceted abilities of the differently abled.
