This department was established in the year 1976.  The department of Commerce have a vision of imparting education with latest state of art technology, books, resources and enhancing classroom experience to a user friendly module and compatible with needs of future scenario.

The department's infrastructural facilities include : 

Library: In the college library, there is enough space for every department and subject and enough space for students also. Moreover, the library is enriched with sufficient number of text books and other reference books for every department. Centralized facility for the usage of computers in labs (three labs) and internet facility with Wi-Fi has been provided to the staff as well as the students both in the labs and in the libra

The department organises lectures, talks along with regular workshops and seminars on various topics. Placement activity by Phoenix Hospitality, GENPACT and Institute of Finance Banking and Insurance are conducted. 

Departmental projects funded by DU, UGC, ICSSR, etc. and total grants received : 2 Innovative Projects (Minor) funded by Delhi University.
