LIBRARY TIMINGS: The college library remains open throughout the year except on Sundays and University holidays. The library is open to the users from 08:30 AM to 05:30 PM.
MEMBERSHIP: The membership of the college library is open to all the bonafide students, teachers and members of non-teaching staff of the college. Library tickets are non-transferable.
LIBRARY CARD: Loss of Library Card should be immediately reported to the librarian in writing to avoid any misuse. A duplicate card will be issued after payment of Rs.100.00.
ADMISSION TO LIBRARY: While entering the library, the user has to show his/her valid Identity Card at the entrance gate and has to sign on the entry register. Bags, tiffins and eatables are not allowed inside the library. The students may keep their bags and belongings at the property counter outside the library. Students may take note books, essential stationary items, laptop, purse to carry money, mobile, and IDs etc. into the library.

At the time of issuing of a book before leaving the counter, the user must satisfy himself/herself that the book issued to him/her is in sound condition. If the books is damaged or torn out, the user should bring the same to the notice of the counter staff for getting another copy of the book, if available. Any damage to book at the time of return shall be the sole responsibility of the user and he/she will be responsible for replacement of the book either of the same edition or recent edition to the library or he/she has to pay an amount equivalent to the current price of the book
OPEN ACCESS TO BOOKS: Students have the privilege of direct access to the shelves and freedom to borrow any book available in the library, except some in the Reserve and Reference sections. Books once drawn from a shelf should not be replaced but left aside on the shelf or on one of the tables for proper shelving by the library staff.
REFERENCE SECTION: Encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, annals, rare books, and out of print books are available in this section. These books are issued for consultation only in the library but few books can be issued on request for short duration.
PERIODICAL SECTION: Journals and periodicals are available in this section. The bound or loose volumes are available for usage in the library. Old issues of periodicals can be borrowed on request for the weekend.
RESERVE SECTION: One copy of every prescribed text book will be found in this section. Books from this section are issued only on weekend. Reserve section books are to be returned on Monday morning before 11.00 A.M. If delayed, Rs.25.00 per-day per-book will be charged as fine.
LOSS OF LIBRARY BOOKS: The user is responsible for the safe custody of all the books issued to him/her. In the event of loss of any book, the user is required to replace the book either of the same edition or the recent edition to the library or he/she has to pay an amount equivalent to the current price of the lost book.
CONDITIONS OF LOAN: Reference books, Newspapers, Magazines, Journals, Previous Year Question Papers, Syllabus, and other reference materials kept in the college library will not be issued to anyone under any circumstances. However, the user is allowed to consult them inside the college library and may also get photocopies of their desired pages.
OVERDUE FINE: All the books issued on loan have to be returned by the users on or before the due date stamped on the date slip of the book. In case of late returning, an overdue fine @ Rs. 1/- per day per book will be levied on the user.
CONDUCIVE ENVIRONMENT FOR READING: All the library users are required to maintain silence. Conversation and discussion inside the library is strictly prohibited.
MOBILE USE RESTRICTED: Students must keep their mobiles on silent mode. Users are prohibited to attend phone calls inside the library. If violated, they shall be asked to leave the library premises.
MEMBERSHIP CANCELLATION: Violation of library rules may invite cancellation of library membership for one month or more as per the decision of the authority.
CLEARANCE CERTIFICATE: Before the commencement of the university examinations, or before leaving the college, the student will need to take clearance from the library by returning the library card and paying dues if any. Accordingly, a clearance certificate will be issued by the librarian.
