Alumni meet of Shyama Prasad Mukherji College was held on 6th April 2019. The event began with the welcoming of guests and a presentation “VIRASAT" which traced the 50 years of the eventful journey of the college.Our principal Dr. Sadhna Sharma, former principal Dr. S. K. Jolly, convener Dr. Kamlesh Aggarwal and co-convener CS Renu Yadav inaugurated the event with lighting of "Mangal Jyoti". Then our students from "Thirkan" (the dance society of the college) performed "Manglacharan" a classical dance. Thereafter our principal Dr. Sadhna Sharma focused on the beautiful bond between the faculty and its alumni in her welcome speech. This was followed by a thought-provoking address by our former principal Dr. S. K. Jolly. Enthusiastic participation by our alumni was a highlight of the event. From reciting poems, songs, to sharing their memories of college life, success mantras; the alumni rekindled the support with one and all. Then 34 alumni from different departments were felicitated for their achievements in various fields. Students of ‘Thirkan', music department and sports department gave impressive performances which were highly appreciated by everyone. Dr. Renu Aggarwal from Commerce department entertained the audience with various interesting games. CS Renu Yadav intimated the house that college is planning to have a registered alumni association and the proposal was appreciated by everyone. Ms Ashema Hasti has given her name for the post of President. The meet was officially concluded with vote of thanks by Dr. Kamlesh Aggarwal. The house then proceeded for lunch.

Virtual Alumni Meet
Date: 4th July 2020 Time: 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Mode: Online Participants: 180+ alumni
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic situation the planned Alumni Meet scheduled in the second week of April 2020 had to be canceled. However, the Alumni Committee, in collaboration with the Alumni Association Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, University of Delhi organized a Virtual Alumni Meet on July 4th 2020 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM. The event was headed by Convenor CS Renu Yadav and Co- Convenor Dr. Kamlesh Aggarwal in patronage of Principal Dr. Sadhna Sharma. The Alumni Meet commenced with the Saraswati Vandana followed by welcome address by Principal Dr. Sadhna Sharma. The address was quite thought provoking and radiated a source of energy within us. Then Ms Ashema Hasti, President SPMC Alumni Association addressed the audience. The event was attended by faculty members, retired faculty members and Alumni from various departments, who are well-established not only in India, but around the globe. It was a trip down the memory lane. Participants shared their experiences on the digital platform. They were engaged in various activities like online quiz, video performances and poetry recitation. A collage of the college pictures, created by Ms Madhuri Verma (Treasurer) and Ms Dharmika Talwar (Executive Member) added emotional touch to the event. The online Quiz was managed very well by Ms Anjali Bansal (Executive Member). Also, all the association members were introduced by Ms Nikita Kuhar (Executive Member) and the retired faculty members were introduced by Dr. Kamlesh Aggarwal & Dr. Priti Rai. The Alumni Felicitation round took place next to recognize alumni for their outstanding performances in academics and co-curricular activities. The entire session was well-moderated by Ms. Pritika Mathur, Vice-President and Ms. Madhuri Verma, Treasurer. The technical aspects of the virtual meet were handled by Ms. Anuradha Singal, Dept. of Computer Science, SPMC (W). The feedback form was also shared with the participants by Ms. Srishti, with the intent to connect more alumni with the SPMC Alumni Association for various open positions. An overwhelming response was received for the same. The virtual alumni meet concluded with a vote of thanks by CS Renu Yadav, Convener, SPMC Alumni Committee. Virtual Alumni Meet-2021

Participants: 170 alumni
The SPMC Alumni Committee, Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women, University of Delhi organized the second Virtual Alumni Meet in collaboration with the SPMC Alumni Association on July 10th 2021 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM. The organizing team comprised of CS Renu Yadav Convenor, Dr. Kamlesh Aggarwal, Co-Convener, office bearers of the association and its executive members. The Alumni Meet commenced with the Saraswati Vandana followed by Welcome Address by Ms Anjali Bansal and Inaugural address delivered by Dr. Sadhna Sharma, Principal SPMC. She welcomed all Alumni and encouraged and appreciated efforts of the organizing team. She also focused on the alumni who have achieved pinnacles of glory. Ms Ashema Hasti, President SPMC Alumni Association, in her address, informed about the activities that have been planned by the association for the benefit of students of the college and also invited more alumni to join the association to grow the alumni network. The event was attended by Senior & Retired Faculty members, and Alumni from various departments, who are well-established not only in India, but around the globe. The alumni meet is organized every year to connect the alumni with their alma mater. Alumni shared their experiences on the digital platform. It was a trip down the memory lane. Various activities were conducted as part of the event, such as online quiz, audio & video performances and poetry recitation. A collage of the college pictures added a nostalgic touch to the event. The online Quiz by Ms Anjali Bansal engaged the participants who enthusiastically participated in it. Ms Nikita Kuhar introduced all the association members. This was followed by Alumni Felicitation round to recognize alumni for their outstanding performances in academics and co-curricular activities. We received a riveting response from the alumni. The event turned out to be successful, with registration from 170 alumni.

Alumni Committee of the college in association with the Alumni Association organised the annual Alumni Meet on 7th May 2022 at Rajiv Gandhi Auditorium. The program was organised under the guidance of Principal - Prof Sadhna Sharma. In this program, our chief guest was Prof. Ranjan Tripathi, Joint dean of colleges, Former chairman of Governing Body SPM College, University of Delhi. The committee Convenor was Ms. Neerja Dhawan and Co-Convenor was Ms. Rajani Bala. Other members also contributed a lot in this meet: Ashema Hasti (President), Pritika Mathur (Vice President, Priyanka Garg (Secretary), Madhuri Verma (Treasurer)Executive Members Nikita Kuhar, Srishti Singwal, Anjali Bansal, Dharmika Talwar, College Members Ms. Akanksha Bansal, Mr. Lavkush Gupta. Anchors started the event with a warm welcome and introductory speech. The college principal, Dr Sadhna Sharma inaugurated the event by lighting a lamp followed by golden words of motivation. First performances were beautiful classical dance on Ganesh vandana followed by many dance performances and singing Performances. Alumni of different departments were facilitated with certificate and plant pot. About 200 Alumni were present there and had lunch. The function was very fruitful and successful.

Alumnae of SPM are very well placed not only in India but also in other countries of the world. They have marked their presence with their outstanding work in every sector segment whether its government or private, academic or non -academic. The Alumni committee of SPMC (W) always works to maintain the bond of students after graduating from the college by conducting an annual meet. This year also college had its annual meet 2023, in which more than overwhelming response of 190 registrations from the alumni was received. This occasion was not celebrated with alumnae and current student’s only, retired and current faculties were also among the members who graced the occasion by their presence. The alumni meet of 2022- 2023 was held on 23rd April 2023. Everyone cherished the beautiful bond with one another by sharing their experiences, by reciting songs and poems, etc. 34 alumni from different departments were felicitated for their achievements in various fields. The idea of having a registered society of ALUMNI was initiated by our principal Prof. Sadhana Sharma. The proposal was appreciated by everyone. We completed the process of registration of Alumni association in 2022 and completed the formalities of getting the Alumni association bank account operational in IOB bank SPM College in 2023. Ms. Ashema Hasti, an alumna, gave her name for the post of President.
