Visit to Rashtrapati Bhavan for Vividhta ka Anırit Mahotsav

The North East society and the Garden Committee members went to attend the Vividhta ka Amrit Mahotsav, a vibrant cultural festival held at Amrit Udyan, Rashtrapati Bhavan from 8th to 11th February 2024. This event was organized to witness the flower exhibition and to celebrate the diversity and richness of Indian culture, with a special focus on the unique and lesser-known cultures of North East India. It was a fascinating experience that allowed the students to explore and appreciate this vibrant region's traditions. There was enthusiastic participation from students, faculty members, and staff, all eager to explore the rich cultural heritage of North East India. The free entry to the festival made it accessible to everyone, ensuring that a diverse group of people could enjoy the event. It was a truly rewarding and educational experience. It was a fantastic platform to celebrate India's cultural diversity and gave students a deeper understanding of the unique cultural practices of North East India.

Exhibition cum Cultural Program

Northeast, Tibet and Ladakh, 26 April 2023 This program aimed to spread awareness of the rich cultural heritage and diversity of the North Eastern states of India and Ladakh people amongst the students in the spirit of 'Ek Bharat Shrestha Bharat'. Principal Prof. Sadhna Sharma graced the occasion. Through the exhibition, many cultural items are showcased and are described by the student volunteers who are mostly the students from the NE region and Ladakh. This spread awareness to students from other regions in India.

Orientation cum Interaction Session

An online interactive session was organised to introduce the faculty and the new students who have joined the college. This was organised to mainly address the questions the students have, to orient the students, to inform them regarding the college activities, and also to highlight the objective and ambition of the Northeast Society in the college. "The Mental Health and Well Being of Outstation Students'. This session aimed to provide tips, guidance, and support for the students who have joined the college from different parts of the country and are finding it difficult to adjust to a new place. Through the means of various activities, the session sought to inculcate in students. ways to understand as well as adapt to the situations around them. Through the means of this interactive session, newly joined students and old students learned how to deal with the challenges that come with starting a new chapter of their lives in an unfamiliar place. It helped them realise that they are not the only ones experiencing these hassles as well as provided them with techniques to overcome them.
