Basic Details:

The Department of Commerce at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College for Women has a rich history of growth and development. It was established in 1977 with the introduction of the B.Com (P) course, initially serving 40 to 50 students with a single faculty member. In 1984, the department expanded its offerings by introducing its flagship, B.Com (H) course, with the faculty growing to six members and accommodating approximately 400 students.

Course Details:

As of 2024, the department has further expanded to include four sections, two sections each are devoted to B.Com (P) and B.Com (H), supporting 700 students, guided by a team of 17 dedicated faculty members.
