AIM: “Parade is our paradise that rages the fire in our eyes, Sacrifices are audacious when we serve our purpose.”
National Cadet Corps is a voluntary youth organization that recruits students from schools, colleges and universities. The cadets are given training at lower basis of the military training footprints without any commitment to join the armed forces, but they are preferred in further recruitment of the soldiers in services.
▪ The aim of NCC is to develop discipline, character, brotherhood, the spirit of adventure and ideals of selfless service amongst young citizens. Not only this, but it also aims to inculcate leadership qualities among the youth who will serve the nation regardless of whichever career they choose.
▪ It gives a cadet a first-hand opportunity to experience what it is like to be in the Indian defence forces depending upon the battalion. This opportunity is something an ordinary student can only dream of.
▪ It paves way to create a human resource of organized, trained and motivated youth to provide
leadership in all walks of life including the armed forces and be always available for the service of the nation.
▪ NCC provides two certificates at the college level - 'B' & 'C' certificate. The ‘B’ certificate is awarded to a second year NCC cadet after appearing for the CATC examination. It is mandatory for a cadet to be a holder of B-certificate before appearing for C. 'C' certificate holders with grades A and B are directly eligible for SSB interview that is they don’t need to clear the written examination.
NCC CARETAKER
The caretaker of the SPMCW NCC coy. is Dr. Prabha Rana who has always motivated the cadets and has displayed active contribution in grooming the cadets into enlightened citizens of the country. It is because of her ebullient guidance that our coy. has been participating in several events organized at various places by various directorates with great zeal and enthusiasm. In addition to that, they have bagged umpteen laurels and accolades for the college company.
