-Notice regarding meeting of PMSSS students on 13.9.2023

We at Shyama Prasad Mukherji College recognize and reward the efforts put in by our students to achieve excellence in various spheres of academics and co-curricular activities. The awards are presented on the Annual Day Function of the College.

Awards

  1. Best All Round Student Of The year

         A final year student who is exceptionally good in studies as well as in co-curricular activities with an all-round personality is chosen for this prize. Several Outstanding Student of the Year awards are also given based on individual merit.

  1. Principal's Medal 

         To encourage the students, the principal of the college awards medals to the toppers of various courses. 

  1. Soya Bose Memorial Award

         The awards is given to the student who tops the list of successful candidates in English (Hons) in the college each year in the University Examination securing not less than 50% marks in aggregate.

  1. Shankuntala Gupta Memorial Award

         The award is presented in the form of Silver Medal to the student who gets highest marks in History (Hons) First, Second and Third year.

  1. Hari Kishan-Sushila Kapoor Merit Cash Award

         It is awarded in cash to those students who get the highest marks in First, Second and Third year of B.A (Prog.) and B.Com (Prog.) separately with minimum 60% in aggregate. In case there is more than one student with equal marks, the amount is distributed equally among them. 

  1. L.Goomer Memorial Award

          Three awards are given to the students who top in Math’s (Hons) First, Second and Third year University Examination securing not less than 60% marks in aggregate. 

  1. Sardar Arjan Singh Memorial Award

          The award is given in the form of a trophy to the topper of B.EL.ED 4th year.

  1. Harbans Kaur Memorial Award

        This award is given to the student securing highest marks in Applied Psychology (Hons) Third year. 

  1. Adarsh Manocha Memorial Award

         This is awarded to needy & meritorious students.

  1. Usha Aggarwal Tejaswani Award

         This award is given to the student who secures highest marks in B.Com.

  1. Engineer Mukesh Kumar Memorial Award

         It is awarded in cash to the students who get highest marks in B.A (Prog) Third year and B.Com (Prog) Third year.

  1. Best Sports Woman Trophy 

         Dr. Naresh Kumar, Former Treasurer of college G.B., awards a trophy of Best Sports Woman of the college in memory of his brother engineer Mukesh Kumar.

  1. Sita Devi Durga Memorial Award

         This award is given in the form of a shield to the best artist of the Dramatic Society 'Navrang' and cash award is given to the  following:

  1. The topper of Hindi (Hons) Third Year.
  2. The topper of Hindi (Hons) Second Year.
  3. A student of B.A (Prog.) Third Year getting Highest marks in Hindi.
  1. Subhash Virmani Memorial Cash Award

          This award is given to the students who get highest marks in B.Com (Hons.) First year, Second year and Third year securing not less than 70% marks in the aggregate. Another award is given to the topper of B.Com (Prog.) Third year with min 65% marks. 

  1. Shri B.R.Gover Memorial Award
  1. Two scholarship are given each year to needy and academically bright student.
  2. Two trophies are given to academically bright student.
  1. Shri Vijaya Chandola Memorial Award 

         One cash award is given to the student of English (Hons.) First year who gets highest marks in the subject. Another cash award is given to the Best student of Instrumental Music.

      17. ASHIMA and SHIV DAYAL BHAGAT Memorial Award (New 2024)

            The Students of History Hons. who score the highest marks i.e. are toppers in each of the year’s--I, II and III year will be given a Trophy.( In case of a tie in scores, then seniority may be used as the criterion to select a candidate)

Scholarships

  1. All India Scholarship

         All India Entrance Scholarship Examination for First year hons students (conducted by the University of Delhi). The amount of Scholarship Rs.250/- per month for three year (passed 10+2 examination with minimum of 55% marks in aggregate).

  1. Shri Sultan Chand Memorial Scholarship.

          It shall be awarded strictly by merit to a student of B.Com (Hons.) Third year & B.Com (Hons.) Second year who secures the highest % of marks above 70%.

  1. Sushma Gupta Memorial Scholarships

           Five attractive scholarships are given every year to needy and academically bright students. This scholarship is open to students from any subject. This is awarded in the memory of Mrs.Sushma Gupta who was a faculty member in the Department of Hindi.

  1. Shri S.M.Puri Memorial Scholarships

           Five attractive scholarships are given each year to needy students. Three Trophies are given to academically bright students. These Scholarships are open to all the students.
