REGISTRATION FORM 

The National Service Scheme (NSS) is a voluntary organization that recruits students from schools, colleges, and universities. The volunteers are engaged in community service and social upliftment without any commitment to join a specific sector, but are trained to contribute meaningfully to society.

▪ The Aim of NSS is to develop a sense of responsibility, character, national integration, and the spirit of service among young citizens. Additionally, it seeks to foster leadership qualities among the youth who will contribute to nation-building, regardless of the careerpath they pursue.

▪ NSS provides volunteers with a first-hand opportunity to understand societal challenges and work towards their solutions, which is an experience many students would cherish.

▪ It creates a human resource of socially aware, motivated, and disciplined youth to provide leadership in various spheres of life and always remain committed to national service.

▪ NSS volunteers participate in several initiatives, such as organizing Book Banks, where used books are collected and distributed to underprivileged students, and conducting Dental Health Camps to promote oral hygiene in ruraland urban areas. Additionally, Tree Plantation Drives are held regularly to contribute to environmental sustainability, and Cloth Distribution camps are organized to support underprivileged communities.

▪ NSS offers two major certifications at the college level for participation and leadership – the Regular Activity certificate and the Special Camp certificate. Participation in these activities enhances a volunteer’s profile and helps them gain preference in several public service sectors.
